Svouresplay

Theater. Nature. Pedagogy.

We create spaces where children think, play, and discover.

What We Do

Actions in Schools

Actions in Schools

Experiential educational programs and interactive performances for preschool and early primary school children. Through play, knowledge becomes lived experience, and through the dialogue we build, children become part of the story — they share their ideas and co-shape its flow.

In Creative Spaces

In Creative Spaces

Theater games and creative workshops for children in neighborhoods and creative learning spaces. We play, we coexist, we share — children express themselves freely through art, movement, and collective creation.

Adult Education

Adult Education

Seminars and experiential workshops for adults — teachers, educators, parents, and anyone who wants to discover the power of theater games, collaborative creation, and learning through play.

How We Work

The principles that guide everything we do

Theater Game

Theater Pedagogy & Theater Game — Lakis Kouretzis method

01

We Trust Every Child

Every child has the ability to think, express themselves, and contribute. We respect their experiences and ideas as valid and meaningful.

02

Learning Through Play

Play is the language of children. Through theatrical and creative play, they explore, connect, and learn in their own way.

03

Free Children, Responsible Children

We need children free to think, speak, move, and act with autonomy. But freedom is not limitless — it comes with responsibility towards oneself, others, and the world around us.

04

Safe Spaces for Exploration

We build physical and emotional spaces with clear boundaries and rules. This way children can freely and safely explore their relationship with themselves, others, and the world.

05

Collective Creation

Creation happens through togetherness. We listen and speak, we change and create in a shared process.

06

Art as Process

We believe in art as a living space of expression and discovery. We emphasize the journey of the process — where imagination and experimentation are cultivated.

Our World

Svoures were born from the shared dream of two pedagogues: to bring the world they imagine closer to their everyday reality.

We started knowing that the world doesn't change overnight. So we chose to begin where our hands can reach: creating small meeting points.

Spaces where children and adults come together, play, express themselves, and coexist through art. Where every child has a voice, and expression, acceptance, and coexistence find real space.

We are guided by values like respect, equality, self-determination, justice, freedom, safety, and meaningful relationships — values we strive to put into practice, every day.

From then until now, we keep learning. From the children, from our relationship with each other, from a changing world. We reflect, evolve, and adapt, while keeping our core steady.

Pedagogy, for us, is a way of standing in the world. And we continue.

Svoures, before becoming Svoures, begin their studies in Early Childhood Education at the University of Patras — and that's where they meet.

2009
2011

They encounter theater games for the very first time.

They experiment with theater game workshops and parties. The name 'Svoures' springs up as an idea — and it seems to fit.

2013
2014

They begin their training at the 3-year Theater & Theater Games Workshop of Lakis Kouretzis.

They create their first interactive show and the team takes on the legal form of a nonprofit (AMKE).

2018
2019

They create and play! They build and present their first educational programs.

The pandemic brings a pause. The world stops — and so do we.

2020
2021

The need for connection and play brings Svoures to the Cultural Association of Ano Ampelokipoi, with regular theater game workshop groups.

Restart.
